Kitting & Assembly

Custom Kitting Services and Subscription Fulfillment

Kitting is the process of assembling multiple individual products into a single packaged unit — a bundle, onboarding kit, subscription box, or multi-pack — that ships as one item. J.M. Field assembles kits in our climate-controlled Fort Lauderdale facility, with video surveillance and quality verification at every stage.

Our Process

Pre-Kitted or On Demand — Your Choice

Pre-kitting reduces labor cost per kit but requires forecasting. On-demand kitting costs more per unit but eliminates overage risk. We help you model both options based on your volume and variability.

74°F Climate-Controlled Assembly

Temperature-sensitive components — cosmetics, supplements, chocolate, and similar products — stay protected throughout the kitting process.

Video Surveillance

Assembly areas are video-monitored throughout the process. We can provide verification footage for high-value kit programs.

Salesforce & Shopify Integration

Kit orders can trigger automatically from your CRM or ecommerce store. No manual handoff required.

Component-Level Inventory Tracking

Each item in your kit is tracked individually in All In View, so you know exactly when to reorder each component.

Kitting Questions

Common Questions About Kitting & Assembly

What is kitting and how does it work?
Kitting is the process of combining multiple individual items into a single package that ships as one unit. You send us the components — or we source them — and we assemble them per your spec. Each completed kit gets its own SKU and is tracked in All In View as a single inventory item.
Can you build subscription boxes?
Yes. We handle recurring subscription box programs including scheduling, component management, and high-volume burst assembly. We coordinate component replenishment so boxes ship on time every cycle.
What is the minimum order quantity for kitting?
We work with a range of volumes. Share your expected monthly kit count and we will confirm pricing. We are set up for both boutique programs (a few hundred kits/month) and high-volume programs (tens of thousands per cycle).
Do you source the items that go into kits?
Yes. Through our promotional products and print capabilities, we can source and produce many common kit components — branded packaging, inserts, branded merchandise — or we can receive components you source elsewhere. Many clients use a combination of both.
How do on-demand kits differ from pre-kitted inventory?
Pre-kitted kits are assembled in advance and stored as finished units — faster to ship when ordered. On-demand kits are assembled when the order comes in from loose components — more flexible for customization. We can run both models depending on your order pattern and customization needs.
